Our projects generally involves heavy machinery, which brings inherent risks if not properly managed. To this end, Management at DZ Civil maintains a standard of safety in excess of that required by State and Federal Legislation and complies with the best practices as outlined in AS/NZS 4801.
Our commitment to safety and wellbeing to our employees and sub-contractors is protected through adherence to a number of key safety initiatives, including: Mandatory practical, user-friendly safety management plans are created and communicated to all workers on each of our projects.
These are created in consultation with employees and regularly reviewed to ensure they remain current ad best practice.
Project and Contract Managers and Site Supervisors are responsible and accountable for the work areas they control; Key performance indicators, objectives and targets are clearly set out and assessed on a continual basis to ensure performance is consistently measured and opportunities for improvement identified;
Providing competency-based and other occupational safety and health training as required and ensuring competent skill levels are achieved by all employees; Conducting regular job safety analyses in consultation with employees and subcontractors Issuing regular safety information bulletins to employees and sub-contractors highlighting the progress of the safety program and making them available to all employees and sub-contractors.

This includes meeting our client’s requirements as well as any site-specific environmental issues.
We develop a custom, site-specific environmental management plan to ensure works are completed in compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements; environmental approval and licence requirements; project and community-specific needs and requirements.
